Founded in 1855, Saffery is one of the UK’s oldest accounting firms, and remains entirely independent. The new brand identity we developed builds on this unparalleled heritage and positions the firm for growth, alongside its clients, well into the future.
The Brief
In 2007, Saffery joined Nexia, a network of independent accounting and consultancy firms. We were asked to develop a new brand to help the firm align more with Nexia’s visual identity. After a series of workshops and key stakeholder interviews, it was clear the firm’s heritage, service standards and partnerships were at the brand’s core. Our work needed to strike a balance between modernity and tradition.
The Solution
Working with the existing Nexia logo mark, we created a new heritage tagline, brand copy, art direction, a darker version of the Nexia colour palette, and applied a new serif typeface to reflect the firm’s heritage, stability and longevity. This approach visually connected the firm to the Nexia group, while retaining its own personality and voice across its 10 UK offices and broader international affiliations.
The Client
Having been through several rebrands in my career I know it is essential to chose the right agency to partner with. Campbell Hay were a pleasure and a privilege to work with. They brought great problem solving skills, creativity and innovation across digital and social brand elements. They helped to bring our people and partners on the journey with us and were instrumental in the orchestrating the successful launch of our rebrand, new name and EVP on the same day. To see how well it has been received is testament to the quality of the work
